Trucks and cute kids.

So, I'm late with a lot of things. (Especially my own family's sessions.)

(This is me catching up.)

(This is where I freak out about how cute this picture is.)

(This is where I rave about how cute they are, even though Andy was super sick that night...)

(This is where I comment on how I could've shot in this light forever. )

(This is me saying that this picture is my favorite!)

(This is me declaring that I was wrong - this is my new favorite.)

(This is me reminding you that I've used this truck in a session before)

(This is me giving up at picking favorites.)

(This is me saying, "I need to shoot those girls more often."

Except I do. Too much.

But not enough.)

7 Steps.

I'm not dead. (I know I know... it's been ages!)

In fact, I'm very much alive.

Especially after looking at these pictures.

People ask me what my secret is with kids - and how I get such good pictures.

Step 1. Get down on their level.

Step 2. Take a million pictures.

Step 3. Make them giggle and tickle each other.

Step 4. Have hopelessly adorable subjects.

Step 5. Have them make faces.

Step 6. Play.

Step 7. Enjoy life.

Intrigue

Faces intrigue me.

People have so many of them.

Smiling ones.

Sad ones.

Shy ones.

Silly ones. (Notice the repeating S's?)

Sober ones.

Oops.

Fine, so... feet intrigue me too, ok? :)

Happy Monday!

This is why I love Him.

I'm at a loss for words.

We found out some pretty hard news about dad's cancer tonight - and we have every reason to feel hopeless.
(Read more on my story of hope here)

And yet,
"Is not your fear of God your confidence,
And the integrity of your ways your hope?" (Job 4:6)

The beauty of my parents is when they comfort each other.  The way they look at each other when dad is in pain and mom is about to cry.

It reminds me of how God knows how to comfort us in our time of need. He knows us better than husband and wife.
"This is my comfort in my affliction, that Your word has revived me."
(Psalm 119:50)

That is why I love them.

And that is why I love Him.

"Not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins."
(1 John 4:10)

Into the studio we go...

I have beautiful nieces.

It's quite handy for school projects! :)

After the wedding, I was able to take my nieces into the studio and shoot them for a little bit. Since they live out of state, I don't get to spend much time with them. We had so much fun together! :)

Doesn't she have the most beautiful blue eyes ever?

Her sister is no exception.

But a little bit more skeptical...

FAVORITE! :)

Personality?

Eyes say so much about a person. I love their eyes.

(Guess what? It's almost Monday. Happy Monday!)
